Historic Middleway Day

Free Admission!  Free Parking!  Kids Activities!  Food for Sale!

The next Middleway Day will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019. The annual village street festival and fair for families and history buffs takes place on the second Saturday of each October.

The festival features local musicians, crafters, guided tours through the Middleway Historic District, exhibits, children's activities, apple cider, and much more.

Middleway Day Street Festival Details:

Pancake Breakfast:
Before attending the street festival, visit the Middleway Methodist Church (on Queen St.) for the annual Pancake Breakfast, served between 7 and 10 am.  Donations for the pancake breakfast are accepted at the door.

Music Tent:
  • 10:30 am - Will Spaulding
  • 12:00 pm - Craggy Island
  • 1:30 pm - Dangerous Ruins
  • 3:00 pm - Silent Auction, Raffle, and Pumpkin Winners Announced
Kids Tent:
  • 11:00 am - Cupcake Walk
  • 11:45 am - Candy Games
  • 1:15 pm - Candy Games
  • 2:00 pm - Cupcake Walk
Tours (times subject to change):
  • 10:00 am - Battle of Smithfield Crossing Wagon Tour
  • 11:30 am - "Stories In Stone" - A History of the Middleway Cemeteries and People *
  • 12:30 pm - Middleway History Walking Tour
  • 1:00 pm - "Stories In Stone" - A History of the Middleway Cemeteries and People *
* "Stories In Stone" tours are created and delivered by volunteers with the Berkeley County Historical Society.

** All other tours are guided by volunteers with the Middleway Conservancy Association.
